What We Do
We work with schools to help students develop thinking skills through chess. We use chess not just as a game, but as a tool for learning in other areas too.
We work with teachers who want to add chess to their curriculum. Our chess lessons help students become better at chess and better thinkers generally.
How We Organise Our Chess Clubs At Schools For Kids
What we teach
We teach chess to students aged 5 and up. Our chess classes for kids focus on chess skills and concentration.
Our teachers
Our teachers know chess well and have Enhanced DBS checks registered on the update service. We keep classes small at 1:12 teacher to student ratio in our chess clubs for kids.
How we teach
We tailor lessons to each child's learning style. We use technology and give every student a Chess Kid account with access to online chess exercises and puzzles.
When we teach
Lunchtime or after school. Sessions run 30 minutes to 1 hour.
How much does it cost
Schools pay per term. We have a grant programme for students who need financial support.
What Students Get From School Clubs
18-Chapter Training Programme
Students get access to 18 chapters of chess training in our chess classes for kids.
Individual Teaching
We use Li-Chess analysis so students get teaching suited to their level. At the end of each term, we record each student's final game, analyse it with Li-Chess, and plan what to focus on next term.
Technology and Feedback
We combine traditional teaching with technology to give students feedback on their progress. Students can play against other children worldwide safely through their Chess Kid accounts.

Tournament Coaching
Students who want to compete in tournaments can get one-to-one coaching sessions. These sessions help students improve their strengths and work on weaker areas.
