Wondering If This Could Be Right for You?
This tends to be a great fit for people looking for flexible, enjoyable and meaningful work alongside their current job or studies.
It could be a great fit if you:
-
Enjoy playing chess (you don’t need to be a master)
-
Like working with children or want to build experience doing so
-
Looking for flexible, part-time work that fits around your week
-
Want to do something that feels rewarding, not just another job
-
Are reliable, friendly and comfortable leading a small group
If that sounds like you, you’ll likely feel right at home with Mindful Chess.

What a Typical Session Looks Like
You’ll usually be running fun, structured chess sessions for small groups of children in local schools close to where you live. This can be from as little as once a week up to running a club each day.
A typical session involves:
-
Leading a 1-hour after-school chess club
-
Teaching basic tactics and concepts using simple lesson plans
-
Helping children improve while keeping sessions fun and engaging
-
Managing a small group (usually up to 12 students)
Everything is designed to be straightforward and enjoyable. You won’t be expected to create lessons from scratch or figure things out on your own.
