A: I ran a successful after school chess club at my son’s primary school for five years.
A: To inspire young children to fall in love with the game of chess.
A: A quote I like to use and stole from the artist Marcel Duchamp is ‘not all artists are chess players, but all chess players are artists’.
A: Work out their level and see what they want to improve on, and teach them new ways to play.
A: Breaking up fights and tears whilst teaching children there is also grace in losing!
A: Chess is a game with an opening, middle and end. Built strong strategies. Learn to read your opponent and look for weaknesses and opportunities in their mistakes!
